Slane Specific Booking Policy

Special Slane Booking Conditions

  • Any booking amendments or cancellations will incur a €10 per ticket administration fee.
  • Refunds or cancellations cannot be processed within 21 days of the event, or once the service has sold out (whichever occurs first).

Return Bus Tickets

  • All tickets are return only, covering both journeys to and from Slane Castle.
  • At check-in, you will receive a wristband that serves as your return ticket.
  • Keep your wristband safe — lost wristbands cannot be replaced and a new ticket will need to be purchased.

Single Tickets

  • Single-journey tickets are not available on Slane services.

QR Codes

  • Each QR code is unique and can only be scanned once.
  • Screenshots are not accepted — please use your original ticket.
  • If a ticket has already been scanned, it is no longer valid and a new ticket must be purchased.

Lost Property

  • Items left on the outbound journey will be handed to the concert’s lost and found.
  • Items left on the return journey will be sent to Marathon’s offices within 10 working days after the event.
  • Email orders@marathoncoaches.ie with a full description if you wish to reclaim an item.
  • Marathon cannot accept responsibility for any lost or damaged items.

Outbound Journey Not Used

  • If you do not travel on the outbound service, please present your valid return ticket at the return pick-up point:
    • Dublin Service: Dublin Transport Hub
    • Navan Service: Roadstone Coach Park
  • If your QR code cannot be scanned or accessed, you may be required to purchase a new ticket for your return journey.

High-Volume Service

  • Slane Castle operates as a high-volume event. Only passengers with pre-booked tickets are guaranteed a seat.
  • All services are expected to sell out in advance — please plan your journey early.

Licensing

  • This service, including routes and pick-ups, is subject to NTA licensing and local authority approval.
