What is the easiest way to get to Marlay Park Concerts from Dundrum?

The easiest and most convenient way to get to Marlay Park concerts from Dundrum is with Marathon Group's direct shuttle bus service. Our Park & Ride tickets offer all-day parking in the Dundrum Town Centre Red or Green Car Parks only as part of your return ticket.

Is my Park & Ride ticket a return ticket?

Yes. All bus tickets to Marlay Park Concerts purchased on the Marathon Group website are return bus tickets, including journeys to and from the venue.

Your Dundrum Town Centre parking ticket will be exchanged for a validated ticket.

Your Marathon e-ticket will be scanned at the bus stop and exchanged for a wrist band valid for both journeys to and from Marlay Park. Your wrist band will be checked when boarding your return coach.

Which car parks can I use with this ticket?

This ticket covers all-day parking associated with the Dundrum Town Centre Red and Green Car Parks only. The entrances to these car parks are located on the Dundrum Bypass/ Dundrum Wood.

Marathon Group or the Car Park Management accepts no responsibility for accidents, theft, damage to persons, vehicles, equipment, and effects in the car. Marathon Group or the Car Park Management is also not responsible for incidental and consequential damages.

What do I need to do at the Dundrum Town Centre?

The Green and Red car parking facilities can be accessed from the Dundrum Bypass/ Dundrum Wood. Take the parking ticket from the machine and bring it with you for validation by Marathon staff. Simply park in any available parking space. Then make your way to the car park adjacent to the Dundrum Luas Bus Stop 7981.

Present your Marathon e-ticket and parking ticket to our staff. They will check you in and exchange your Dundrum Town Centre parking ticket for a validated ticket, so you are not charged when exiting the car park.

Where do the shuttle buses depart from in Dundrum?

You can use any Marathon bus service departing every half hour from 15:30 - 18:30 from Dundrum Luas Bus Stop 7981 on the Dundrum Bypass.

Have your e-ticket and parking ticket ready to scan by Marathon staff in the car park adjacent to the bus departure point.

After the concert, buses will return to this location.

What is the journey time to/from Marlay Park?

The normal journey time from Dundrum to Marlay Park is approximately 15/20 minutes.

However, on Marlay Park concert days, we advise allowing 30 minutes due to the high levels of event traffic predicted on the day. So please allow sufficient travel time to alleviate unwanted stresses on the day.

Where does the Dundrum bus drop me for Marlay Park concerts?

All Marathon Group buses to Marlay Park from Dundrum will drop you on Stonemasons Way, Llewellyn Park, Bus Stop 4707. Your return bus will also depart from this location.

Marathon Coaches are operating the official concert bus service to/from Marlay Park. This means you will get dropped to the closest drop off point to the concert site in Marlay Park.

What time do buses depart Marlay Park after the concert?

Return buses start filling on demand at 22:30 and the last bus departs at 23:30. We wait until buses are full before sending them.

Buses returning to Dundrum depart from Stonemasons Way, Llewellyn Park, Bus Stop 4707 - the same location you were dropped off at.


No stops will be made en route back to Dundrum Luas Bus Stop 7981.

What if I lose my parking ticket?

It is your responsibility to bring your parking ticket from Dundrum Town Centre to the Marathon bus stop for validation.

If you lose your ticket, you will be subject to lost ticket charges as detailed in the Dundrum Town Centre Terms and Conditions for Parking.

I need to cancel my bus ticket, how can I do this?

Please note there is a cancellation charge of €5 per bus ticket applicable for any cancellations issued.

If you would like to proceed with this option, please email us at orders@marathoncoaches.ie with your booking reference number and explicit confirmation that you are happy to proceed with cancelling your bus ticket at a fee of €5 per bus ticket.

Due to the large volume of emails received, this process could take up to 72 hours from receiving your confirmation of cancellation. Please note, you can only avail of a cancellation/refund up-to 7 days prior to the event.

I have a bus ticket booked but I want to change the time?

Due to the demand of the event, our bus services are very busy. We ask all patrons to adhere to the bus time selected at the time of booking. We are unable to guarantee a seat on a service other than what is listed on your ticket.

We are unable to change your times internally, the only alternative would be for us to cancel your original booking and for you to re-book an available time.

Do I need to print out my bus ticket for Marlay Park concert bus services?

You do not need to print your bus ticket. When you book your ticket make sure to download your bus ticket to your mobile device so it can be scanned at the bus stop and exchanged for a wrist band.

You will have received your Bus E-tickets from orders@marathoncoaches.ie. Please ensure you download your tickets and have them in either:

iPhone: Saved to your apple Wallet
Android: Saved as a PDF

Please ensure to have the barcode/QR present on your mobile device and saved ticket ready to scan when you reach the bus stop.

If you have booked for more than one person, you should transfer their tickets to them so that they can store them on their own mobile devices. Simply click the booking link on your confirmation email, click Transfer Ticket and enter their email address.

Can I drink alcohol on the bus?

In line with traffic laws, no alcohol is permitted on any Marathon Coaches Bus Services. There will be checks in place at the bus stop to ensure this bylaw is adhered to.

Marathon Coaches excepts no liability for lost, damaged or misplaced items.

Lost property will be logged 5 working days after an event. If you have lost property and want to enquire if it has been found, please email orders@marathoncoaches.ie.
