How do I get to Earlsfort Terrace Bus Stop 1013?
Travelling by Train
Irish Rail provides convenient connections to Dublin City Centre. From Tara Street Station, it is a 30-minute walk to the Marathon departure point on Earlsfort Terrace. Alternatively, walk the short distance to D’Olier Street and take the E1, E2 or 40 bus directly to Earlsfort Terrace.
Travelling by Bus
Dublin Bus operates frequent services from D’Olier Street and O’Connell Bridge that drop you within a 1-minute walk of Earlsfort Terrace bus stop 1013. Routes including the E1, E2 and 40 serve the general vicinity. For detailed schedules, visit dublinbus.ie or transportforireland.ie. Please note that Dublin Bus timetables are subject to change, and it is your responsibility to plan your journey accordingly.
Travelling by Luas

What time do the Marathon Group buses depart from Earlsfort Terrace bus stop 1013?
Departure times are at: 14:00, 14:30, 15:00, 15:30, 16:00, 16:30, 17:00, 17:30, and 18:00. Please select your preferred time during the booking process.
What is the travel time to Marlay Park?
Under normal conditions, the journey takes approximately 40 minutes. However, for concerts, we recommend allowing an additional hour or more to accommodate rush-hour and event-specific traffic. Marathon cannot accept liability for delays caused by traffic or congestion.
Where does the bus drop off at Marlay Park?
Buses drop passengers in the grounds of Marlay Park, just inside the College Road entrance. Any changes directed by event organisers, Dublin County Council, or the National Transport Authority will be communicated to our customers by email.
Where does the bus depart after the concert?
Return buses will depart from the same concert coach park, where you are dropped off.
What time do the buses leave after the concert?
Buses will load from 22:00 to 23:00 and depart as soon as they are full and cleared for departure by event traffic personnel. Marathon Group cannot accept any liability for delays caused by traffic or congestion leaving the venue. Please allow extra time when planning onward travel connections.
Where will the buses drop off in Dublin City after the event?
Stop 1: Bachelor’s Walk
Stop 2: Nassau Street
Note: Returning buses will not drop back to Earlsfort Terrace. No other stops are permitted.
Do I need to book my bus ticket in advance?
Yes, we strongly recommend booking in advance to guarantee your seat. Early bookings also offer the best rates. Tickets may not be available at the departure point.
Are single tickets available?
All tickets are currently sold as return tickets covering both journeys to and from the venue.
Can I use my return ticket for only the journey home?
Yes, you can use your ticket for the return journey only. After the concert, proceed to the bus stop HERE and our staff will assist you.
Can I change my departure time after booking?
To amend your booking, email orders@marathoncoaches.ie.
A €5 cancellation fee per person will apply and you will need to rebook your desired time.
Can I cancel my bus ticket?
Refunds will be processed via your original payment method and may take up to 21 working days.
Cancellations incur a €5 fee per ticket.
No refunds or changes are permitted within 7 days of the event.
Departure times cannot be changed - you will need to cancel and rebook.
Are there toilets on the buses?
No, toilets are not available on our concert buses. Please use the facilities before boarding. Buses are not licensed to make stops en route.
Can I drink alcohol on the bus?
In line with traffic laws, alcohol is not permitted on any Marathon Group bus services.
Anti-social behaviour is not tolerated on our buses. In the interest of driver and passenger safety, Marathon Group reserve the right to refuse admission to our buses. No refunds will be issued in these cases.
How do I report lost property?
All property is carried on our bus services at your own risk. Marathon Group accepts no liability for lost, damaged or misplaced items. Please check behind you before leaving the bus!
