The easiest and most convenient way to get to concerts taking place at Malahide Castle is by bus. You can book your return tickets online via the Marathon Group website: marathongroup.ie

Where do the buses depart from in Dublin City centre?

Buses will depart from Dublin City Centre at the appointed time on your ticket. Our Malahide Castle Concert Buses pick up from outside the 3 Arena on North Wall Quay, Bus Stop 7623.

Where does the bus drop off in Malahide Castle?

Marathon Group are operating the official concert bus service to/from Malahide Castle. This means you will get dropped to the closest drop off point for Malahide Castle Concerts. All Marathon Group buses to Malahide will drop you at the Yellow Walls Rd Entrance / Exit and directly opposite St Sylvesters Infant Catholic School.

Is my bus ticket a return ticket?

Marathon Group buses to Malahide Castle Concerts are return bus tickets. They include journeys to and home from the venue. Your bus ticket will be scanned at the bus stop and exchanged for a wrist band valid for both journeys to and from Malahide Castle. Your wrist band will be checked when boarding your return coach.

What time do the buses depart Dublin?

When booking your bus ticket, you will have selected your departure time from Dublin City Centre. The time listed on your ticket is the time your bus ticket is valid for.

Bus services to Malahide Castle Concerts are very busy and we expect all services to be fully booked. As a result we cannot guarantee space on a service other than the one you booked during the booking process and that is listed on your bus ticket.

What time do buses depart Malahide Castle after the concert?

Buses will depart from outside the Yellow Walls Rd Entrance / Exit and directly opposite St Sylvesters Infant Catholic School.

Please follow event signage to The Yellow Walls Rd Entrance. Buses will leave on an on-demand basis between the hours of 21:00 - 23:30. Only when a bus is full will we send it back to Dublin.

What is the journey time to/from Malahide Castle?

The normal journey time from Dublin City Centre to Malahide Castle is approximately 30 minutes. However, on Malahide Castle concert days we advise allowing one hour due to the high levels of event traffic predicted on the day.

Event traffic can be unpredictable so please allow sufficient travel time to alleviate unwanted stresses on the day.

I have a bus ticket booked but I want to change the time?

Due to the demand of the event, our bus services are exceedingly busy. We ask all patrons to adhere to the bus time selected at the time of booking. We are unable to guarantee a seat on a service other than what is listed on your ticket.

We are unable to change your times internally, the only alternative would be for us to cancel your original booking and for you to re-book an available time.

Please note there is a cancellation charge of €5 per bus ticket applicable for any cancellations issued. If you would like to proceed with this option, please email us at orders@marathoncoaches.ie with your booking reference number and explicit confirmation that you are happy to proceed with cancelling your bus ticket at a fee of €5 per bus ticket.

Due to the large volume of emails received, this process could take up to 72 hours from receiving your confirmation of cancellation. Please note, you can only avail of a cancelation/refund up-to 7 days prior to the event.

I need to cancel my bus ticket how can I do this?

Do I need to print out my bus ticket for Malahide Concert bus services?

You do not need to print your bus ticket. When you book your ticket make sure to download your bus ticket to your mobile device so it can be scanned at the bus stop and exchanged for a wrist band.

You will have received your Bus E-tickets from orders@marathoncoaches.ie. Please ensure you download your tickets and have them in either:

iPhone: Saved to your apple Wallet
Android: Saved as a PDF

Please ensure to have the barcode/QR present on your mobile device and saved ticket ready to scan when you reach the bus stop.

If you have booked for more than one person you transfer them their tickets so that they can store them on their own portable devices by clicking the booking link on your confirmation, email you received. Click Transfer Ticket and enter their email address.

How do I get to North Wall Quay?

TRAIN: North Wall Quay is approximately a 10-15 minute walk from Connolly Train Station and Tara Street Train Station, which are served by numerous DARTS and Commuter Trains.

LUAS: The Point Luas Stop is a very short walk from North Wall Quay, Bus Stop 7623.

BUS: Bus Aras Bus Depot is about a 15-minute walk from North Wall Quay, and numerous Commuter Coach Services have stops near the area.

BIKE: There are Dublin Bike depots located near North Wall Quay, including one at the Convention Centre Dublin and the 3Arena

Can I drink alcohol on the bus?

In line with traffic laws, no alcohol is permitted on any Marathon Coaches Bus Services. There will be checks in place at the bus stop to ensure this bylaw is adhered to.

All property is carried on our bus services at your own risk. Marathon Coaches excepts no liability for lost, damaged or misplaced items. Lost property will be logged 5 working days after an event.
