The easiest and most convenient way to get to Marlay Park concerts from Dublin is with Marathon Group's direct bus service. You can book your return tickets online via the Marathon Group website: marathongroup.ie

Where do the buses depart from in Dublin City centre?

Busses will depart from Dublin City Centre at the appointed time of your ticket. Marathon Group buses will depart from Earlsfort Terrace, Bus Stop 1013.

How do I get to Earlsfort Terrace, Bus Stop 1013?

TRAIN: Earlsfort Terrace is a short walk from Pearse Street Train Station, which is served by numerous DARTS and Commuter Trains.

LUAS: The Harcourt and Stephens Green Luas Stops are both a short walk from Earlsfort Terrace.

BUS: Numerous bus routes serve Earlsfort Terrace, with Bus Stop 1013 located conveniently along the route.

BIKE: There are Dublin Bike depots located near Earlsfort Terrace, providing convenient bike rental options for short-distance travel.

Where does the Dublin City Centre bus drop me for Marlay Park Concerts?

All Marathon Group buses to Marlay Park from Dublin City Centre will drop you outside Marlay Park grounds, directly inside the College Rd Entrance / Exit.

Marathon Coaches are operating the official concert bus service to/from Marlay Park. This means you will get dropped to the closest drop off point to the concert site in Marlay Park.

Is my bus ticket a return ticket?

All bus tickets to Marlay Park Concerts purchased on the Marathon Group website are return bus tickets, including journeys to and from the venue. Your bus ticket will be scanned at the bus stop and exchanged for a wrist band valid for both journeys to and from Marlay Park. Your wrist band will be checked when boarding your return coach.

What time do the buses depart Dublin?

When booking your bus ticket, you will have selected your departure time from Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin. The time listed on your ticket is the time your bus ticket is valid for. Bus services are very busy, and we expect all services to be fully booked. As a result, we cannot guarantee space on a service other than the one you booked during the booking process and that is listed on your bus ticket.

What time do buses depart Marlay Park after the concert?

Buses will leave on an on-demand basis between the hours of 21:00 - 23:30. Only when a bus is full will we send it back to Dublin.

Buses will depart from outside the Marlay Park grounds, directly inside the College Rd Entrance / Exit. Please follow event signage to the College Rd Entrance.

Where will the buses drop me back to after the concert?

All buses departing Marlay Park after the concert will return to:

  1. Earslfort Terrace Stop: 1013
  2. D'Olier Street Stop: 334

All buses will return to these bus stops only. There will be no other stops made en route.

What is the journey time to/from Marlay Park?

The normal journey time from Earlsfort Terrace to Marlay Park is approximately 40 minutes.

However, on Marlay Park concert days, we advise allowing one hour due to the high levels of event traffic predicted on the day. So please allow sufficient travel time to alleviate unwanted stresses on the day.

I need to cancel my bus ticket how can I do this?

Please note there is a cancellation charge of €5 per bus ticket applicable for any cancellations issued.

If you would like to proceed with this option, please email us at orders@marathoncoaches.ie with your booking reference number and explicit confirmation that you are happy to proceed with cancelling your bus ticket at a fee of €5 per bus ticket.

Due to the large volume of emails received, this process could take up to 72 hours from receiving your confirmation of cancellation. Please note, you can only avail of a cancelation/refund up-to 7 days prior to the event.

I have a bus ticket booked but I want to change the time?

Due to the demand of the event, our bus services are very busy. We ask all patrons to adhere to the bus time selected at the time of booking. We are unable to guarantee a seat on a service other than what is listed on your ticket.

We are unable to change your times internally, the only alternative would be for us to cancel your original booking and for you to re-book an available time.

Do I need to print out my bus ticket for Marlay Park Concert bus services?

You do not need to print your bus ticket. When you book your ticket make sure to download your bus ticket to your mobile device so it can be scanned at the bus stop and exchanged for a wrist band.

You will have received your Bus E-tickets from orders@marathoncoaches.ie. Please ensure you download your tickets and have them in either:

iPhone: Saved to your apple Wallet
Android: Saved as a PDF

Please ensure to have the barcode/QR present on your mobile device and saved ticket ready to scan when you reach the bus stop.

If you have booked for more than one person you transfer them their tickets so that they can store them on their own portable devices by clicking the booking link on your confirmation, email you received. Click Transfer Ticket and enter their email address.

Can I drink alcohol on the bus?

In line with traffic laws, no alcohol is permitted on any Marathon Coaches Bus Services. There will be checks in place at the bus stop to ensure this bylaw is adhered to.
